dc.description.abstract An improved international attention has arisen in natural dyes due to amplified consciousness of the environmental and health hazards associated with the synthesis, processing and use of synthetic dyes. The present investigation was carried out to extract natural dye from Snapdragon Flower, The dye was extracted by boiling method with Water. The extract was further used for Dying Cotton fabric. Before dying Cotton Fabric the process of Bleaching & Mordanting is done. In this Mordanting process Alum, Stannous chloride was used. The Results revealed that, different shades of Orange colour were obtained with respect to the mordants. The natural dye obtained from Snapdragon Flower can be used for Coloration of Cotton fabric. The flower powder is characterized by various techniques like IR, XRD and SEM. en_US
