| dc.description.abstract | A simple, accurate and precise UV Spectrophotometric method and RP-HPLC method was developed and validated for simultaneous estimation of Dexamethasone and Sparfloxacin in Eye/Ear drops. In UV spectrophotometric Q-absorption ratio method determination was carried out at 271.2 nm an Iso-bestic point of both the drug and 241.6nm which is maximum wavelength of Dexamethasone with linearity range 1-6 μg/ml for Dexamethasone and 3-18 μg/ml for Sparfloxacin. Both the drugs were found in good agreement with the label claimed in the marketed formulation. In the Eye/Ear drops both the drugs were estimated as 99.4% and 98.6% for Dexamethasone and Sparfloxacin respectively. In RP-HPLC method, separation for simultaneous estimation of Dexamethasone and Sparfloxacin was achieved on BDS hypersil C 18 | en_US |
