dc.description.abstract	Gesture Recognition is an important research field in computer vision. For recognizing any object, first we have to extract the features from an image. Gesture Recognition can be done for various features like face, hand, expressions etc. Hand Gesture Recognition is one the feature which is mainly used for recognizing the gestures. There are many techniques for Feature Extraction in Gesture Recognition. PCA is best for dimensionality Reduction and SIFT is used to detect distinct features of an image but it is color invariant. In the proposed work, this issue is solved by using modified SIFT-PCA method.	en_US
