<title>The Effect of Grain Size on Optically Stimulated Luminescence Decay Curves of Bulk Synthetic Quartz</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/10860</link>
<description>The Effect of Grain Size on Optically Stimulated Luminescence Decay Curves of Bulk Synthetic Quartz
RATSIMAMITAKA, Lucien
In the present research, the effect of the grain sizes of a bulk synthetic quartz sample on optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) decay curves was studied. The lots of the different grain sizes (125-105 μm, 105-90 μm, 90-74 μm, 74-63 μm, 63-53 μm, 53-44 μm, 44-37 μm, 37-25 μm) were exposed by different β-radiation prior optically stimulated luminescence measurements at room temperature and 160⁰C. The outcomes indicate that the OSL intensity increase up to the grain size 63-53 μm then decreases at room temperature but at 160⁰C the OSL intensity decrease below 105 μm. The fluctuation in OSL intensity with grain size was due to the combined effect of change in surface area and the increasing temperature. The dose-response curve log-log scale was plotted based on the β-radiation ranging from 2.63 Gy to 131.33 Gy for each grain size. The grain size 63 53 μm and 37-25 μm showed the superlinear behavior to sublinear of OSL signal respectively at 25⁰C and 160⁰C measurement.

<title>SYNTHESIS OF METALLIC NANOPARTICLES AND THEIR APPLICATION IN DRUG QUALIFICATION AND QUANTIFICATION</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/10857</link>
<description>SYNTHESIS OF METALLIC NANOPARTICLES AND THEIR APPLICATION IN DRUG QUALIFICATION AND QUANTIFICATION
RALKHOLIYA, KOMAL G.
Nanomedicine (drug) and nano delivery systems is a relatively new but rapidly developing&#13;
science where materials in the nanoscale range are employed to serve as a means of diagnostic&#13;
tools or to deliver therapeutic agents to specific targeted sites in a controlled manner. The present&#13;
study consists of synthesis of Silver (Ag) Nanoparticles using chemical methods. The drugs used&#13;
for the research belong to schedule H and P. For the experimental purpose, Silver nanocolloid&#13;
solution was prepared chemically by the reduction of silver salt using trisodium citrate silver&#13;
Nanoparticles synthesis using wet chemical method through reducing Ag2+ to Ag0 state. The&#13;
Nanoparticles synthesised will be characterised using different instrumental techniques such as UVVis,&#13;
DLS, and SEM.

<title>Green Synthesis, Characterization and Application of zinc oxide nanoparticle</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/10853</link>
<description>Green Synthesis, Characterization and Application of zinc oxide nanoparticle
AVIYA, DOLLY
In this work, we report the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using Moringa&#13;
Oleifera (Drumstick) leaves as natural precursor via precipitation method. The&#13;
formation and characterization of ZnO nanoparticles was established by UVVIS&#13;
spectroscopy Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Particle&#13;
Analyzer. The absorbance at 361nm proves the formation of ZnO. The IR&#13;
spectra results proved the capping and stabilizing agents. The size of the&#13;
particle was found to be 246.7 nm. Further the ZnO was used as a nutrient in&#13;
improvement of plant growth.
