<description>Anatomical study on pakvashaya in correlation with koshthanga, aashaya, kala and sroto moola
Patel, Rahu
The study entitled “Anatomical Study On Pakvashaya In Correlation With&#13;
Koshthanga, Aashaya, Kala And Sroto Moola” is aimed to elaborate Pakvashaya&#13;
anatomically as well conceptually.&#13;
The advent of all branches of science and technology is aimed at developing the living&#13;
standards of man. The language of any science lies in its ability to provide solutions to&#13;
problems with clarity. It includes not only in inventing new things but also documenting&#13;
everything in a precise and standardized nomenclature.&#13;
Our Acharyas explained Pakvashaya as one among the Koshthangs, Ashaya, Kala also as&#13;
Moola Sthana Of Purishvah Srotas. these all references says how much Acharyas has&#13;
given importants to Pakvashaya because Pakvashaya plays a major role in manifestation&#13;
of diseases as well as in the management of diseases.&#13;
Koshth, Ashaya,Srotas Mool And Kala Sharira each of these term is concern with&#13;
Pakvashaya, our classics described different terms to represent each of them as all are in&#13;
relation with Pakvashaya. so here attempt is made to evaluate how they differ from each&#13;
other anatomically and conceptually.&#13;
Many scholars have described Pakvashaya by various angles. but here to explore the&#13;
concept of Pakvashaya in relation with Koshtha, Ashaya, Srotas Mula And Kala Sharira&#13;
as mention above. To fulfill it, this particular work has been planned.&#13;
All Vyadhis originating by the vitiation of Vata Dosha originate at the Pakwashaya (large&#13;
intestine).Atisaara, Visuchika, Udavarta, Gridhrasi etc originate from Pakvashaya due to&#13;
the vitiation of Vata Dosha.&#13;
Main importance of assessing the Udbhavastana of a Vyadhi is not just for the diagnostic&#13;
aspect, but also in selecting the appropriate therapeutic modalities like shaman or&#13;
shodhana.

<description>An observational study of vedhya &amp; avedhya siras in upper extremity w.s.r. to infrared vein finder machine &amp; cadaveric dissection”
Rola, Jatin
Introduction:&#13;
The concepts of Ayurveda are not passed into future generation properly because&#13;
of generation gap and lake of interpretation. In ancient Ayurvedic references, the&#13;
description of Sira is mostly explained in terms of functional implication. This limitation&#13;
is attributable to the lack of available tools and techniques that could provide the&#13;
microscopic observation of vasculature from anatomic perspective. So we have great&#13;
opportunity to understand and clarify the doubts regarding location of Vedhya and&#13;
Avedhya Sira. In this context, a proper nomenclature of Vedhya and Avedhya Sira in&#13;
accordance with the contemporary science is of utmost significance in the practice of&#13;
Ayurvedic medicine. This is only possible with the help of the recent advanced&#13;
technology implemented in Infrared Vein Finder Machine that helps to Find out and&#13;
locate the Sira anatomically and thus explain the concept of Sira Sharir in a better and&#13;
comprehensive way.&#13;
Aim and objective:&#13;
To confirm anatomical structure of Vedhya and Avedhya Sira of upper extremity.&#13;
To review the Vedhya and Avedhya Siras of upper extremity. To compare Sira with&#13;
modern anatomical structure. To locate structurally the Vedhya and Avedhya Siras on the&#13;
basis of Cadaveric dissection and infrared vein finder machine.&#13;
Material and method:&#13;
Literature related to the study collected from the classical texts and modern&#13;
anatomy books. In observation study, Dissection of the upper limb in five cadavers was&#13;
carried out in the department of Rachana Sharir, Parul Institute of Ayurveda.&#13;
Observations were analyzed and correlated in the view of sites of Vedhya and Avedhya&#13;
Sira. Vedhya Sira sites were studied upon 10 male and 10 female healthy volunteers by&#13;
the help of infrared vein finder.

<title>Comprehensive study on manibandh sandhi(wrist joint) w.s.r to structural and movemental chronicity in amavata(rheumatoid arthritis)”</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/8016</link>
<description>Comprehensive study on manibandh sandhi(wrist joint) w.s.r to structural and movemental chronicity in amavata(rheumatoid arthritis)”
Vyas, Priyank
Manibandh Sandhi is described as the wrist joint which is mentioned as&#13;
Urdhwashakhagata Sandhi of two in number. It comes under the Kora variety of&#13;
Chestavanta Sandhi.&#13;
Amavata is one of the Vatavyadhi, mainly affecting the Sandhi to produce Ruja&#13;
and Shopha. In this disease, vitiated Vata along with Kapha gets Sthanasamshraya in&#13;
Sandhi to produce different Lakshanas.&#13;
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune sickness that reasons chronic&#13;
irritation of the joints. At the same time as infection of the tissue across the joints and&#13;
inflammatory arthritis are function features of rheumatoid arthritis, the disorder also can&#13;
cause irritation and damage in other organs in the body.&#13;
In line with Ayurveda, Rheumatoid arthritis may be compared as “Amavata“. It has&#13;
been defined this means” If the disorder “Ama vata” (rheumatoid arthritis) gets annoyed,&#13;
it will become maximum difficult sickness comparatively to others.&#13;
Objectives of this study are to review the literature on Manibandh Sandhi Shareera&#13;
and rheumatoid arthritis (Amavata) and to know the structural changes in Manibandh&#13;
Sandhi based on clinical examination and radiological findings in case of Amavata and&#13;
thereby to understand the clinical anatomy of Manibandh Sandhi.&#13;
The subject of this thesis is observational study. Data related to Manibandh Sandhi&#13;
and Amavata were collected from various classics. Structural changes and movemental&#13;
chronicity in Manibandh Sandhi of 30 Diagnosed patient of Amavata were identified&#13;
based on radiological finding.&#13;
Among the 30 diagnosed patient of Amavata affecting the Manibandh sandhi is&#13;
make in three group on the basis of chronicity i.e., Group A , Group B and Group C&#13;
respectively.&#13;
Most of the patients were having structural changes in Manibandh Sandhi.&#13;
X-ray investigation is one of the useful tools to study bony changes in disease like&#13;
rheumatoid arthritis.

<title>Critical Study On Biceps Muscles Of Eka Doshaj Pradhan Daihik Prakriti Individuals W.S.R. To Exercise</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/8014</link>
<description>Critical Study On Biceps Muscles Of Eka Doshaj Pradhan Daihik Prakriti Individuals W.S.R. To Exercise
Makwana, Dhawal
Introduction: Ayurveda explains importance and benefits of Vyayamaa (exercise)&#13;
that should to be performed daily to be healthy as a Part of Dincharya. The Biceps&#13;
are usually attributed as representative of masculinity within cultures. The present&#13;
study had been based upon the effect of exercise on biceps muscle. There were 3&#13;
biceps exercise adopted for the present study which is 1) Alternate hammer curl&#13;
using dumbbell, 2) Dumbbell alternate biceps curl, 3) Alternate Concentration&#13;
curls.&#13;
Aim &amp; Objectives:&#13;
To see the effect of exercise on circumference, strength and endurance of Biceps&#13;
muscle. To study Ek Dosha Pradhanaj Daihika Prakriti. To study about structural&#13;
changes of Biceps muscle after specific exercise. To study the interrelation&#13;
between muscle exercise and different Daihik Prakriti.&#13;
Materials-Methods: After grouping all 90 individuals were advised to do same&#13;
kind of exercise and same weight for the same time period which was 20 minutes&#13;
daily once for 3 months. Every month follow ups were taken. Total 3 parameters&#13;
of biceps muscles had been compared for these 3 ek dosha pradhanaj daihik&#13;
prakriti. Those were, MUAC - (Mid Upper Arm Circumference), Strength - (in the&#13;
term of 1 RM), Endurance - (ability of muscles to do repetitive movements for an&#13;
extended period of time).&#13;
Duration of study: 3 Months&#13;
Results &amp; Conclusion: Results were calculated and statistically analysed using&#13;
paired type of t-test. The test showed significant Relation between biceps Muscles&#13;
exercise and different ek dosh pradhanaj daihik prakriti individuals.&#13;
Conclusion: MUAC is more increasing parameter in Pitta Prakriti individuals in&#13;
comparison of Vata and Kapha Prakriti individual and Strength and endurance are&#13;
more increasing parameters in Kapha Prakriti individuals in comparison of Vata&#13;
and Pitta Prakriti individual. Vyayama and Exercise are two different things.
