<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/7661</link>
<description>Understanding of Prajna- A Review Article
Sreekanth, V. M.; Prasanth, R. Krishnan; Rajashree, Chitre; Gokul, J
The main reasons for the production of Vyadhi include Asathmiandriyartha Samyoga [Improper combination of sense organs with their objects], Prajnaparadha and Parinama [Kaala or Season]. Among these Prajnaparadha plays an important role in disease production. The Prajna in its normal state will help to acquire the proper knowledge thereby leading to proper action and finally to Swasthya Avastha. When Prajna gets impaired it will lead to the production of improper knowledge thereby leading to improper action and finally to the production of diseases. So acquiring proper knowledge is the best way for the prevention of diseases as Ayurveda gives importance to Preventive aspects rather than Curative aspect. For that the different components of Prajna should work properly. In this review article we are emphasising on the definition, different components of Prajna, its normal, abnormal state, its role in the production and prevention of diseases.

<title>Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) For the Management of Stress and Sress Induced Ailments</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/7660</link>
<description>Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) For the Management of Stress and Sress Induced Ailments
Rajalekshmy, P. R.; Sreekanth, V. M.; Krishnan, Prasanth R.; Krishnaprabha, A.
Stress is a natural physiological and psychological effort to cope up with the external and internal stimuli, which produces strain or disequilibria. A frequent occurrence of stress or a failure in coping up with stress will lead to stress induced ailments. The initial disturbances in mind such as restlessness, irritability, insomnia, fear etc will later on affect the functions and may lead to hypertension, palpitation asthma, coronary artery diseases, diabetes mellitus etc. So it is the need of the hour to develop an efficient method to manage with stress. An integrated approach to the management of stress and stress induced diseases on the basis of Panchakosha theory has been well recognized in the medical fraternity. A judicious blend of all yogic practices needs to be applied as therapeutic practices at various kosha.
