<title>Parametric study on structural behaviour of mast tower</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/7512</link>
<description>Parametric study on structural behaviour of mast tower
Singh, Amrit
Mast tower are generally tall structures, self-supporting structures and in engineering&#13;
terms cantilever structures, which are designed to support the high-tension wires,&#13;
testing the other towers and so on.&#13;
Further to the parametric study on structural behavior of masts, basic parameters are&#13;
studied, like axial, compression and tension capacity of the members, deflection&#13;
behavior etc.&#13;
The analysis of the tower testing high mast is carried out in different ways, mainly&#13;
governs under high tensions due to testing and wind action on exposed area. These&#13;
mast towers are generally used at tower testing stations. Two masts present to test a&#13;
tower, one of them is Longitudinal Mast and other one is Transverse Mast. These&#13;
masts have numbers of columns and beams according to size of tower beds, which are&#13;
to be tested.&#13;
In the analysis, the tower model firstly fixed and then wind pressure applied to the&#13;
exposed area of the mast. Wind force is the computed with IS875: part-III, in which&#13;
different categories factors are used according to mast height, locations and other ones.&#13;
The design of the tower is done with IS:802 part-1/sec-2 &amp; part-2.&#13;
The applications of the mast towers are at each testing stations for testing 132kV to&#13;
1200kV gantry, transmission line towers and for reviewing the same.

<title>Comparative study on precast product and their productivity</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/7212</link>
<description>Comparative study on precast product and their productivity
Thakkar, Abhishek
The latest developments in material technology design procedures, quantity surveying, facilities management, services, and structural analysis and design, and management studies. Incorporating advanced construction technology into practice can increase levels of quality, efficiency, safety, sustainability and value for money. However, there is often a conflict between traditional industry methods and innovative new practices, and this is often blamed for the relatively slow rate of technology transfer within the industry.&#13;
The adoption of advanced construction technology requires appropriate design, commitment from the whole project team, suitable procurement strategies, good quality control, appropriate training and careful commissioning.&#13;
Most of the construction activities in India take place by conventional cast in situ method of construction. But still there is a huge demand for housing in India. So the construction activity has to take place in a much faster way. This cannot be achieved by conventional method of construction. It can be done possible with precast concrete of construction. Moreover there are more advantages of precast concrete when compared with conventional one. So various literatures are studied and a review of those all has been given in this paper. Also the advantages and disadvantages of precast construction are also discussed here.&#13;
Now a days conventional type of construction is fading up as compared to Precast construction. Precast concrete is a smart way to build any type of building, safely, affordably. It ensures fast construction time, high profitability and excellent quality. Precast concrete is an industrialized way to build. It means transfer of work from sites to factories. This improves productivity and quality and other precast construction time of a building. Inshort, precast concrete lowers total construction costs considerably. The deals with the study of Precast technology and its advantages over Conventional construction.

<title>Evaluating socio economic feasibility of an infrastructure project: case study of vadodara city</title>

<description>Evaluating socio economic feasibility of an infrastructure project: case study of vadodara city
Pandya, Bhairavi
The paper explains the need of Socio Economic evaluation of infrastructure projects. The advancement of a transport infrastructure network is one of the basic elements adding to the economic development of region. Socio economic evaluation of transport projects is generally evolved in comparison with other infrastructure sectors. Transport infrastructure will in general have huge social and environmental impacts, and the possibility of prompting 'dynamic changes' in employment, investment, land use, and productivity. To determine socio economic feasibility of flyover at Vadodara city, we have used cost benefit analysis (CBA).Selected Flyover is 3 km long and longest fly over of Gujarat State. The cost–benefit analysis (CBA) is one of the quantitative tools speaking to the last stage (decision) in decision-making processes, which looks at design options and confirms the manageability of a transport project.

<title>Enhancement of suction properties of an unsaturated soil with the use of geocell</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/7205</link>
<description>Enhancement of suction properties of an unsaturated soil with the use of geocell
Desai, Mohak
Suction is the major characteristic of soil dealing with its unsaturated state. It predominantly affects the engineering properties of soil. The aim of this study is to determine suction properties of expansive soils from two different states of India, where the temperature affects soil properties in a great extent. The different parameter selected for suction determination are degree of saturation and variation in dry density according to field condition for both region soils. Furthermore, the study extended to calculate soil water characteristic curve (SWCC) and soil freezing characteristic curve (SFCC) and to identify the similarities between SWCC and SFCC.
